A Blooming Sea of Flowers Offered to the Buddhas |
1. Special Introduction to the Merits of Offering Flowers:
🔸On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, colourful flowers will be offered to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, bringing joy to the Buddhas and creating an unparalleled atmosphere of grandeur at the monastery.
🔸As stated in the sutra, the ten merits of offering fragrant flowers:
👉Living in the world like a flower.
👉Having a body free of foul odors.
👉Perfumed by the fragrance of virtue and precepts, reaching everywhere.
👉The sense of smell remains undamaged wherever you go.
👉Surpassing worldly accomplishments and being an object of reverence.
👉Always possessing a fragrant and clean body.
👉Loving and practicing the true Dharma, including reciting and upholding it.
👉Acquiring great merit and blessings.
👉Upon passing, being reborn in the heavenly realms.
👉Quickly attaining Nirvana.
2. The donor contributes to the following merits:
🔸Support Monastery Construction:
Contribute to the propagation of the Dharma and the flourishing of the Buddha’s teachings.
🔸Enhance the grandeur of Ban Foo Monastery, bringing joy to the Buddhas and sentient beings, and expanding the donor’s store of merit and blessings.
🔸If there are surplus funds, they will continue to support the construction of the monastery, the propagation of the Dharma, and the sustenance of the sangha practice and livelihood, bringing boundless merit to the donor, both in material wealth and spiritual blessings.
3. Blessings and Merit Dedications:
🔸The monastery will set up a "Blooming Sea of Flowers Offering" tablet for the donor, placed before the Buddha for blessings and the continued guidance of the Three Jewels.
🔸Through the special merits of this puja, the following dedication will be made for the donor:
"May you and your family be blessed with peace, prosperity, and good health, free from sickness, obstacles, and afflictions. May you live a long life, grow in blessings, and be reborn in the heavenly realms or among humans, experiencing wealth, honor, and abundant provisions. Your appearance will be dignified and pleasing to all beings. May you encounter the complete and perfect Dharma, guided by great faith, wisdom, and merit, and receive the teachings of virtuous masters, ensuring success in your spiritual practice. May you swiftly attain Buddhahood."
1. Any surplus of the offerings will be transferred to our Donation Box for Dharma propagation and to help those in need so that the merits from your donation will grow endlessly.
2. Blessing names will be listed. BFM reserves the final right to make changes to the names of the merits dedication not conforming to the proposed format.
