Verse of the Wealth Deity: "In the garden, blessings abound, livestock flourish; In the treasury, fortunes descend, grains are plentiful. Blessings arrive, and families thrive; Delicacies gather like the ocean's bounty. Treasures stack as mountains; divine rains bestow fine garments. Celestial beings guard great virtues. Illusory treasures fill the void— Grant infinite blessings and siddhis."
1. Ban Foo Monastery creates a solemn altar to devoutly offer to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
🔸As stated in the sutra, "Among all fields of merit, the Buddha’s merit field is supreme; To seek great fruit, offer to the Buddha’s merit field." By offering exquisite items to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, one is blessed with noble birth, abundant resources, and auspicious joy.
2. The donor contributes to the following merits:
🔸Support monastery construction to ensure the Dharma stay for a long time and spreads widely.
🔸During the Lunar New Year puja, dedicate the Wealth Deity’s Prosperity-Filled Mandala by offering the Prajñā Sutras, incense, flowers, fresh fruits, pure water, and jeweled ornaments.
🔸 If any funds remain, they will continue to support the monastery's construction, Dharma propagation, and the sustenance of the sangha’s study and practice, increasing the donor’s merits, which will be enjoyed endlessly.
3. Merits of Offering Altar Items:
🔸Flowers: Attain a pure, beautiful, and dignified appearance.
🔸Fruits: Enjoy peace, joy, and quickly achieve Buddhahood.
🔸Pure Water: Cultivate serenity and eliminate physical and mental afflictions.
🔸Exquisite Food: Accumulate great blessings, attaining abundance and contentment.
🔸Offering jewels and ornaments: Leads to rebirth in noble families with material and spiritual abundance.
4. Blessings and Dedication:
🔸The monastery will prepare a Grand Blessing Tablet for the altar donor, praying for health and auspiciousness.
🔸A special "Wealth Deity Fortune Card" will be offered, praying for the donor's material and spiritual wealth, continuous good fortune, and financial success.
🔸Invite the donor to serve as the merit donor of the New Year Puja and participate in the incense offering ceremony.
🔸The presiding Venerable will recite and announce the donor’s name.
🔸The merits of the monastery construction, sangha support, and puja will be dedicated to the donor: "May the entire family enjoy peace, happiness, and comfort. May obstacles, afflictions, and karmic hindrances dissolve. May they live a long life filled with blessings and virtues in this lifetime and be reborn in heavenly realms or noble families in future lives, enjoying wealth, prosperity, beauty, and admiration. Lifetime after lifetime, may they meet pure and complete teachings, find great spiritual mentors, and cultivate all favorable conditions to swiftly attain Buddhahood."
