The Supreme King of Medicine Constantly Protects and Nurtures. Medicine Buddha Praise Verse: "Medicine Buddha, the Lapis Lazuli King of Great Healers, dispels calamities, resolves difficulties, and removes obstacles of sin. With compassion, He saves suffering beings and brings auspicious blessings. He increases merit and wisdom, extends longevity, and illuminates life with divine light. The profound merits of Medicine Buddha are immeasurable and worthy of eternal praise."
1. Ban Foo Monastery creates a solemn altar to devoutly offer to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
🔸As stated in the sutra, "Among all fields of merit, the Buddha’s merit field is supreme; To seek great fruit, offer to the Buddha’s merit field." By offering exquisite items to Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, one is blessed with noble birth, abundant resources, and auspicious joy.
2. The donor contributes to the following merits:
🔸Support monastery construction to ensure the Dharma stay for a long time and spreads widely.
🔸Offer to the Mandala of Medicine Buddha: During the New Year Puja, prepare offerings such as incense, fresh flowers, fruits, fragrant oils, pure water, delicious food, and high-quality medicinal herbs.
🔸 If any funds remain, they will continue to support the monastery's construction, Dharma propagation, and the sustenance of the sangha’s study and practice, increasing the donor’s merits, which will be enjoyed endlessly.
3. Merits of Offering Altar Items:
🔸Flowers: Attain a pure, beautiful, and dignified appearance.
🔸Fruits: Enjoy peace, joy, and quickly achieve Buddhahood.
🔸Pure Water: Cultivate serenity and eliminate physical and mental afflictions.
🔸Exquisite Food: Accumulate great blessings, attaining abundance and contentment.
🔸Offering Premium Medicinal Herbs: Prevents illnesses, granting health, longevity, and well-being.
4. Blessings and Dedication:
🔸Creation of a "Blessing Tablet" for the altar donor, praying for health, peace, and auspiciousness.
🔸Exquisite Medicine Buddha Blessing Cards will be offered to Medicine Buddha, praying for health, peace, and the removal of obstacles.
🔸Offering of Great Auspicious blessing lantern, blessing for joy, and auspiciousness.
🔸Invite the donor to serve as the merit donor of the New Year Puja and participate in the incense offering ceremony.
🔸The presiding Venerable will recite and announce the donor’s name.
🔸Merits from monastery construction, support for sangha, and the extraordinary puja will be dedicated to altar donors: "May your family be safe and auspicious, with physical and mental well-being. May obstacles such as illnesses, karmic hindrances, and afflictions be eliminated. May you enjoy long life and abundant blessings in this life and be reborn in celestial or noble human realms in the next, experiencing wealth, prosperity, beauty, and joy. In every lifetime, may you encounter the pure, complete teachings of the Dharma, be guided by virtuous teachers, and possess favorable conditions to practice the path to enlightenment swiftly and attain Buddhahood."
