Lunar New Year Gathering of Great Blessings – Prosperous Donor (From the 1st to the 15th of the Lunar New Year, daily offering to the sangha and community)

1. Great Merit of Offering to the Sangha:
During the joyful occasion of the Lunar New Year, offer food to the monastic community and the public, accumulating great merit for oneself, family, and friends. Offering food to the sangha in this life brings abundant spiritual nourishment in the future.
As the Tang Dynasty monk, Dao Xuan, was known for his strict observance of the precepts, one day he asked a heavenly being: "What is the greatest merit a person can create?" The heavenly being replied, "The merit of offering food to the sangha is the greatest!"

2. Donor’s Contribution and Merits:
🔸Support monastery construction to ensure the Dharma stay for a long time and spreads widely.
🔸From the 1st to the 15th day of the Lunar New Year, participate in the daily offering of food to the monastic community, creating vast blessings.
🔸If there are surplus funds, they will continue to support the construction of the monastery, the propagation of the Dharma, and the sustenance of the sangha practice and livelihood, bringing boundless merit to the donor, both in material wealth and spiritual blessings.

3. Blessings and Merit Dedications:
🔸The monastery will set up a "Family Blessing Tablet" for the donor, praying for the Three Jewels to continuously protect the family and bring harmony and happiness.
🔸A "Blessing Lamp" will be offered for the donor, with prayers for swift arrival of good fortune.
🔸Through the merit of supporting the monastery, the sangha, and the puja, the following dedication will be made to the donor: "May your family enjoy peace, prosperity, and good health, free from sickness, obstacles, and afflictions. May you live a long life, increase in blessings, and be reborn in the heavenly realms or among humans, experiencing wealth, honor, and abundant provisions. Your appearance will be dignified and pleasing to all beings. May you encounter the complete and perfect Dharma, guided by great faith, wisdom, and merit, and receive the teachings of virtuous masters, ensuring success in your spiritual practice. May you swiftly attain Buddhahood, completing the path to enlightenment."
