MT - Compassionate Offerings for Unattended Spirits

1. Donors will contribute to the following Meritorious Deeds:
🔸Construction of the monastery.
🔸Out of compassion for the unattended spirits who are suffering from hunger and thirst, the donor will contribute food for the "Compassionate Offerings for Unattended Spirits" during the puja.
🔸If there are surplus funds, continue to support the monastery’s propagation of Dharma and the livelihood and studies of the sangha, allowing the donor's merits to grow and be enjoyed endlessly.
2. The monastery will create a "Total Offering for Compassionate Benefaction" listing the names of those praying for blessings.
3. Ten Meritorious Deeds from Offering Food:
🔸Engage in great giving, practicing the perfection of generosity.
🔸Liberate those with connections, providing benefits to the spirits.
🔸Build extensive good relationships.
🔸Gain the protection of all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and the spirits for whom offerings are made.
🔸Eliminate harmful energies in the world.
🔸Eliminate personal karmic obstacles.
🔸Increase merits and virtues.
🔸Eliminate disasters and prolong life.
🔸Ensure a peaceful living environment.
🔸Advance on the path of Dharma.
4. The "Offering to Hungry Ghosts" Sutra states: "Though one offers to Arhats and Pratyekabuddhas, the present rewards are limited and finite, but one who offers even a morsel to hungry ghosts can reap merits that are as boundless until attain enlightenment. Thus, their blessings and longevity are limitless."
5. With the merits of constructing the monastery, supporting the sangha, and the auspiciousness of the puja, we dedicate:
"May the unattended spirits be blessed by the Buddha, may all obstacles be eliminated, may they be liberated from suffering, may their grievances be resolved, may they be reborn in the Pure Land or good destinies, may they study the right teachings, and may they attain Buddhahood."
