🔶 Grand Offering and Chanting of the "88 Buddha Repentance"
The "88 Buddha Repentance" is one of the most widely practiced repentance rituals. It combines the holy names of 53 Buddhas from the "Medicine King and Medicine Superior Sutra" and 35 Buddhas from the "Great Treasure Accumulation Sutra", forming a significant text for repentance.
According to the "Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva Pūrvapraṇidhāna Sūtra", reciting the names of Buddhas brings immense merit: "In the present and future, all beings, whether celestial, human, male, or female, who recite even one Buddha name will accrue immeasurable merit, let alone reciting many names. At the time of death, or when another chants a Buddha name for them, even the heaviest offenses, such as the Five Grave Offenses, can gradually be extinguished. What more can be said of those who chant sincerely on their own? They will obtain infinite blessings and eliminate countless sins." 🔶Highlights of the Ceremony
1. Grand Puja on February 8th (11th Day of Lunar New Year): Led by the monastery's monastic community, devotees will chant and perform 300 recitations of the "88 Buddha Repentance" during the "New Year Temple Inauguration and Blessing Ceremony" to invoke the Buddha’s blessings for personal and familial health, happiness, longevity, and peace throughout the year.

2. 15 Days of Monastic Offerings (New Year to Lantern Festival): Continuous offerings to monastics and the community will be made for 15 days, fostering merit and blessings. Prayers will focus on turning adversity into prosperity and fulfilling all wholesome wishes.

3. Grand Offerings Before the Buddhas: Devotees will sincerely offer to the Triple Gem and dedicate the merits to prayers and memorial inscriptions. Through the power of the ceremony’s merit and the blessings of the monastic community, prayers will be made for all whose names are inscribed. May the Triple Gem always protect all beings, bringing ultimate benefit and happiness.
